Symptom Checker Tools Blog About Submit Your Pet

Built for pet owners who just want straight answers

I started The Pawfect Pup after one too many late-night rabbit holes trying to figure out if my dog needed an emergency vet or just a good night's sleep. Everything I found was either buried in a forum from 2011 or hidden behind a vet telehealth paywall. There had to be a better way.

So I built it. Free tools, no signups, no upsells. A symptom checker that tells you what it actually thinks. Real vet cost data from real Canadians. Breed guides that don't read like Wikipedia. It's not trying to replace your vet โ€” it's trying to make sure you show up to that appointment knowing what questions to ask.

Everything here is built and maintained by one person, somewhere in Canada, with a dog who still eats grass despite knowing better. The blog runs daily. The tools get updated when something breaks or something better exists. It's a work in progress โ€” deliberately.

If something on the site is wrong, missing, or could be better, the contact form below actually reaches me. I read everything.
